The narrow Ahr Valley, which was called „the wildest daughter of the Rhine“ by the Romanticists, is known for its red wines.

Next to the winegrower’s villages (the “red wine hiking trail” connects their vineyards), there are many other attractions in the Ahr Valley, such as the health resort Bad Neuenahr with its casino and the Ahrtherme (Ahr thermal baths) or the medieval-like town of Ahrweiler with its museum “Römervilla”, which is distinguished by its well-maintained relics from a lordly country residence from the 2nd / 3rd century.
