Rhine in Flames

Traditionally the “Rhine in Flames” takes place at one of the most beautiful sections of the river of the romantic Rhine. The presentation begins on May 6, 2006.

Approximately 2.000 red fireworks blanket the waterside promenade. It is possible to see the festive lights coloring city of Linz to Beethoven’s city of Bonn. A fleet of around 60 cruise ships will be awaiting to disembark after sunset in a convoy from Linz to Bonn. Four fireworks – in Linz, Remagen, Bad Honnef, and across from Königswinter – will thrill the onlookers from land and on board until the finale takes place around 11:00pm in the Bonn Rheinaue, a crowning conclusion of superlative fireworks.
